      <image:title>Contact &amp; About Me - My journey to wakefulness has more to it than meets the eye.</image:title>
      <image:caption>My journey began young, and like most of us, out of necessity. My upbringing left me with the bitter taste of insecurity and anxiety that took up residence in my bones. At the age of 7, I began struggling with severe anxiety that quickly escalated to panic attacks. At such a young age my parents did everything they could to instill a sense of safety and security within me, and eventually, after a few years of the struggle, my panic subsided. For a time. Then again in my teenage years, the anxiety reared its head, chuckled, and asked “remember me?!”. I had, and into its jaws I was pulled once more and much in the same manner as when I was younger. This went on for months and months with my mother unsure of what to do next. One night she said something hard to accept but that ultimately changed my life; “I don’t know how to help you, you will have to learn how to help yourself.”</image:caption>

      <image:caption>I set out on my path early on taking responsibility for my own wellbeing and began learning from some of the worlds leading researchers, philosophers, and psychologists; living, gone. I went on to learn from from the teachings of Peter Levine, Stephen Porges, Gabor Maté, Bessel Van Der Kolk, Brené Brown, John Gottman, Elizabeth Gilbert, Tony Robbins, Harvel Hendricks, Martha Beck, Stan Tatkin, Pema Chodron, Jack Kornfield, Hareesh Wallace, and many more. I now am completing the Somatic Experiencing Program with Peter Levine, and am studying Psychology &amp; Philosophy at San Diego State University. I use this wide array of psychological and philosophical knowledge, most specifically Somatic Experiencing as well as knowledge I have gained over the last 7 years of teaching yoga, philosophy, and attachment theory and leading several events, retreats, and intensives all over the country. It is my dharma to assist others in discovering the essence of their being, just as I continue to journey on in my own self discovery.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>You are likely here right now because you are tired of surviving your way through life. I imagine you are ready to thrive, to feel alive, and empowered in your body, your relationships, your work, IN YOUR LIFE AS A WHOLE. Somatic experiencing is a modality of therapeutic work that incorporates your biology, physiology, mind, and spirit. You are a whole being that is much more than just what it is you think, how your brain is structured, and what has happened to you. You are a culmination of all of it. Within the practices of SE we will incorporate the fullness of who you are and acknowledge that you are likely coming to this place ready to re-member your essence self because of what the experiences of your life have presented you. Bottom line is we are a bag of sensors that are constantly responding to everything that happens around us and within us. With SE we work to recalibrate all of those sensors so that they fire properly.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Somatic Experiencing is a body-oriented therapeutic model that helps heal trauma and other stress disorders. Developed by Peter Levine, Ph.D., it is the result of the multidisciplinary study of stress physiology, psychology, ethology, biology, neuroscience, indigenous healing practices, and medical biophysics, with more than 45 years of successful clinical application. We will also incorporate another useful body of psychobiological work; the Polyvagal Theory to include your nervous system in the integration process. Polyvagal Theory is a science-based theory that provides explanations of how our autonomic state influences and is influenced by the dynamic challenges of life; as introduced by behavioral neuroscientist, Stephen W. Porges. These models see nothing wrong with you. In fact it is likely that there is nothing WRONG, only expired adaptations that are working to aid in your survival while you are attempting to get out of survival mode and back into Vitality and True Aliveness.</image:caption>
